The Youngstown, Poland and Boardman Ohio communities and the surrounding area will be pleased to learn that ShipOnSite of Boardman will open their doors at The Shops at Southwestern Place, 850 E. Western Reserve Rd, Unit 3A in Boardman, Ohio on Friday, April 3rd, 2009. Chris Sipple of Canfield, Ohio will be the new owner of this ShipOnSite. Chris, along with his wife Sharlene, looks forward to meeting the needs of their community. This store will be the first location in Ohio and has special meaning to the founders of ShipOnSite, because both were raised in Ohio. John Brewer grew up just outside of Cincinnati and his wife, Kathy, is from the Cleveland area.
John and Kathy Brewer, founders of ShipOnSite, Inc. are extremely proud of the business model that they have developed over the last five and a half years. In these harsh economic times, there is no place they’d rather be than in the service industry. Having come from both retail and restaurant backgrounds, John and Kathy vowed that their next business venture would be service related. Service businesses, in their opinion, can weather economic ups and downs more easily. The ShipOnSite business model was developed as a turnkey business to give owners more freedom than with a typical franchise. ShipOnSite also provides something unique to their new operators - ShipOnSite University. ShipOnSite University is a web-based training program to teach new store owners about ShipOnSite’s unique business services while their new locations are under construction. Each ShipOnSite location offers traditional packaging and shipping services as well as eBay Trading Assistant services. ShipOnSite has created quite a niche in the industry by allowing store owners the freedom to add services to its already successful business model. Each ShipOnSite can individualize their stores to fit the needs of their community.
At ShipOnSite of Wake Forest, home of the corporate offices, all new programs are tested and implemented. “Here at our store, we have helped many businesses and individuals in the Wake Forest and surrounding communities turn their unneeded and unwanted items into cash by selling these items on eBay”, says Kathy Brewer. “We have sold medical equipment, close out inventory, and overstock items for several businesses who have loved getting that check in the mail for inventory that they just couldn’t move. We recently helped one family find new homes for many of their deceased parent’s items that they could not personally find a use for”. “It is a very gratifying to know that you are genuinely helping people.” adds Kathy.
ShipOnSite is also increasing the services of its OfficeOnSite program. OfficeOnSite is where small businesses and individuals can come and get help with all of their design and printing needs; as well as personalize items, order wedding invitations and have access to an internet desk and conference room rental (at participating locations). ShipOnSite is truly a one-stop shop! At ShipOnSite of Southern Pines owner Jim Borrell is very happy with the brisk business that he is seeing with his conference room rentals. “Since opening our doors”, states Jim, “we have rented out our conference room several times to people in the Southern Pines community.”
