ShipOnSite, a Wake Forest-based office and shipping center chain, will be part of the featured cover story in the October edition of Chain Store Age trade magazine.

ShipOnSite has been expanding its business model across the Triangle and the Southeast with 18 locations and plans to anoint the opening of up to 50 new stores a year in the next few years nationally.

Its business model is based on three revenue streams: customer shipping options from major carriers such as FedEx and UPS, an eBay sales and drop-off site, and business facility services such as conference room rental, administrative support and computer rentals.

Founders John Brewer and Kathy Brewer opened their first store in Rolesville in 2003 and have sold rights to other operators. Store owners pay an annual licensing fee for the name, but there are no other franchising fees.
